01

Finding an existing book

Open Book vaults from the sidebar and select the vault you want. If the library was moved, use Open an existing project or review the save location under Settings.

02

Save location and backups

Scriptorum stores the complete library locally. Open Settings → Save location to see the active file, change its folder, or open that folder for backup.

03

Steam installation issues

In Steam, open Scriptorum's Properties and use Installed Files → Verify integrity of software files. Existing book data is stored separately from the installed application.

04

Manuscript exports

From the Manuscript workspace, choose Export, select DOCX, PDF, or EPUB, then review the publication details and layout preset before exporting.

05

Recovering deleted work

Open the Archive from the lower sidebar. Recoverable boards, cards, chapters, story items, timelines, and relationship-map elements remain there until permanently deleted.

06

Reporting a problem

Include your Scriptorum version, Windows version, what you expected to happen, and the steps that produced the issue. Screenshots or a short recording are especially helpful.
